Called to Serve

On March 10th Landon's mission call came to our house in the mail. He was in Boise at the time, and had to wait until Saturday the 11th to open his call. Talk about a LONG day and night. I called Landon after I got it from the mailbox, and his response was..."Wow, I guess this is getting real." He said he was so excited and so nervous too.

When Saturday afternoon came and it was finally time to open his call, we got out the map and circled and signed our names on the place we thought he would serve.

When our predictions were made, we got the camera ready to film and sat down to see where he was going. We just opened it with our little family. Landon didn't want to have a large group watching him open his call.

I am glad that Landon chose to open his call with just us. It was a very special experience, and it was neat to just share it with just our family.

How excited was he when he read that he would be serving in the Tegucigalpa Honduras mission. We ran to the map and figured out where it was, then went to the computer to look up everything about Tegucigalpa.

Later that night, Landon set up facebook live and invited some friends over to see him read his call for a second time. It was fun, he got to celebrate his mission call with his close friends and family.

It is funny, I was so nervous and stressed before he opened his call, but after he read where he was going all the nervousness I was feeling went away. Jeff and I both commented on that, and I truly believe this is where he is suppose to serve. I am so excited to watch him grow as a person, and have experiences he never thought he would have before.  Landon is so excited, and I know he is going to do a great job serving the people of Honduras.
