Everyone who knows me knows how much I love camping....NOT....So every year to satisfy my hubby and my kids we do a fun night with dinner and small hike up to our favorite spot, Scout Mountain. It is perfect. We are able to enjoy nature, then go home to a nice comfy bed and shower. Seriously, for me, this is roughing it. This year was one of the funnest times yet. The kids are getting older and really enjoyed playing and being together.
We had a yummy hamburger dinner. Everything tastes better outside I think!
Landon got to make us desert this year. Earlier this summer he took a dutch oven cooking class and was excited to show us what he learned. The "dump cake" was delicious!
Landon even got to start the fire this year. When did he grow up?
Finally the perfect end to any evening. SMORES. YUM!

So, I've got to admit that camping isn't my favorite thing either, but it's not my least favorite either, so we always end up going :-) Glad to see that you had a great anniversary & camp, er outing!
I love nature but not camping! It looks like you guys had a great time.
I smile at the thought of you camping, I know how close you are with nature. do you remember the time that you, cheryl, and I went hiking up Logan canyon? I am not sure if we were on the trail I remember it seemed to be straight up. I think we even saw a moose, but I don't think you had any fun. :) However, it looks like you found a happy medium.
This is totally up my alley! I would live camping if I could! Great for you guys, it looked like a super time!
