A little bit of bead board

 Yes, another post from me today.  I have to admit, I am going a little crazy showing my molding ideas for the CSI project today.  I love using bead board to add dimension and texture to walls.  I love white crisp boards against a nice color paint.  For my family room I decided to add some bead board on the bottom of dark gray paint to add a nice contrast. For a twist, we laid the boards vertically give it a more modern look.  I love that it is different than traditional bead board, and it adds a nice touch to the room.

I heart wainscotting

Today I am posting a few posts for the CSI project.  This week's challenge is molding, and I do love my molding! I have shown these pictures of my living room and entry before, but it is one of my most favorite touches we have added to this home. When my hubby and I decided to remodel the main level of our home, I knew that I wanted this in my living room.  We looked around and priced a few pre made kits, and in the end, decided to just make it ourselves.  My hubby and his brother took mdf boards and routered them to finish off the edges.  We nailed backer board to the wall and added the routered boards.  I primed and painted them white. I decided to put it up higher in the living room than in the hall.  I liked the look of the piano against the white.  It was a lot of work, measuring and making it all fit and look right, but in the end I totally love it.

Easter and More

It has been a while since I have posted anything. It has been crazy around our house the past few weeks. We all had a great Easter Sunday. The kids all got new Easter clothes and and fun finding their baskets and on the egg hunt. The weather was beautiful and it was a beautiful Easter Sunday.





We have also been working on our house. There have been a lot of changes around here. It has been keeping us crazy....ummm... I mean extra busy. It has been a long process, but a lot of great fun. I have posted a few pictures to show our progress and the changes we have made.

Working on our Remodel

Wow we are tearing apart the house. It has been a lot of hard work. Amity is ready for it, she is making sure Daddy is safe too! Here is a picture of our kitchen. All gutted....ready for new cabinets....Almost!
Here is our hall and part of the living room. We put up some wainscotting. All it needs is a coat of white paint!
