Some Design Inspiration

Everyone who knows me knows how much I love to decorate. This past week my parents were kind enough to keep my kids for the week. Landon and Danica got to go on Monday and Jeff and I drove Amity down on Friday to stay over night. So....when the kids are away, the parents will play! We got to go to the Temple Friday morning and afterwards we went to the Parade of Home's there in Salt Lake. Seriously, I was on cloud nine. This is one of my favorite things to do all year. OK I know, I need to get a life, but it is just so fun for me. I couldn't resist taking some pics of my favorite rooms. I thought I would do a little sharing. It inspired me and gave me some great decorating ideas.
When I saw this room I was totally hooked on the idea of putting a strip of beadboard on the top of the wall like mock crown moulding. I am seriously going to do this in my half bath. Chandeliers above the sink. I love love love this idea. It would go great in the girl's bathroom above their sink.
I need to make sure Jeff knows he needs to make me one of these for the girls.
Don't you just love the decorative painting done on the walls of this media room. This is just one mural, there were several awesome ones around the room.
Ahhhh....this is what I have to say about this wall. I want to do this in Danica's room when she is ready for a change. I love the colors, and the pattern. So fun and whimsical!
I love using every room in a house. Don't you love this playroom that was created under the stairs. Again, the painting is so fun.
This is a playroom that was under the stairs in a girl's bedroom. They actually built a playhouse in it. I haven't shown my girl's this yet...they would die of envy.
Wouldn't you just love to drive home to this every night. Ha ha Erin, Keep dreaming. Way way fun weekend!
