A little happiness at the end of my day

Jeff is in Belgium this week and I am green with envy. I was having a crappy day. No matter what I accomplished, it seemed like my list was growing instead of shrinking. Ever had a day like that? I was busy all morning helping a neighbor with decorating ideas for her house so I had to do my shopping run after the kids got home from school. As I was standing in the Walmart isle at five o'clock, seriously, five o'clock I must admit my patience was wearing thin and my thoughts were not too charitible. I was in a hurry, jealous of my lucky husband who at the time was in Europe sleeping, onery at my kids, and just wanting to get home to make dinner.  When I got home I found these beautiful flowers at my door. My sweet friend sent them to me with a nice note. My whole day changed at that moment. I am thankful for a friend who thought of me, and for her kind deed which made my day!

Beautiful flowers! What a nice surprise. And yes...we all have "those days." The to do list growing instead of shrinking seems to be a regular occurance for me these days...

Erin - I can't believe you ever have those kinds of days! Mine are pretty much like that every day. Especially if your in Walmart right before dinner time. Maybe you should have Jeff give you a Ladies Night out. He could probably use some good bonding time with the kids since he missed a week of their life.
