Recording Memories

I recently celebrated another birthday. Yes, I am another year older. For my birthday this year I received a beautiful gift from my Grandpa. I was excited when I opened up the gift and saw that it was a picture album of many of our memories we have had together. My Grandpa is a photographer, and spent most of his life documenting everyday moments. We often rolled our eyes and sighed, "more pictures," but as I looked at that book I was suddenly grateful that he took the time to take pictures of those memories. It made me see the importance of taking pictures of special times spent with families and friends. This showed me how important family history is , however we can do it, we need to document what is happening and record all the story of our lives to pass on to our future generations. My children learned a lot about me while looking at the pictures, and I was able to share stories with them of those times in my life spent with my Grandparents. I am grateful for my Grandparents and the time they spent with me as I grew up. They defiantly had an impact on the person I am today, and who I am going to become in the future.
